Does TunerBench store my VIN?
No. The decoder sends the VIN to the NHTSA services required to return vehicle and recall data, but TunerBench does not store it.
Where does My Garage save a vehicle?
It uses local storage in the current browser. Clearing site data or switching devices removes or separates that saved profile.
Why do chassis and engine codes matter?
They identify the exact platform and powertrain generation used by parts catalogs, tuning software, technical references, and enthusiast communities.
